Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer Associate Manager for a position based in Orlando, FL supporting the ATWS Program portfolio. The Quality professional will be responsible for the strategic leadership and performance of key suppliers, continuous improvement, talent development, training and knowledge continuity. The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert in the area of Supplier Quality Engineering. The position requires manufacturing experience / knowledge developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Supplier Quality Engineer Associate Manager, you will be responsible, but not limited to the following:

-Develop/execute supplier strategy in partnership with the ATWS GSC team
-Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified
-Support the Supplier Integrated Product Teams and partner with the various production sites/centers with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging
-Analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex
-Lead the Supplier Quality team in program corrective action meetings, identifying trends, assist in problem resolution and ensure responsible parties meet commitments
-Coordinate and/or perform assessments and audits on processes and procedures of supply base to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100
-Engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs
-Interface with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues
-Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
-Participate (as required) in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelors level degree or higher in STEM and/or equivalent experience/combined education
-Ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance required prior to start
-Demonstrated ability to work at all levels of the organization to identify and drive systemic root cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative and qualitative analytical methods
-Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex (Fault Tree, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)
-Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodology
-Ability to travel

Desired skills

-STEM degree at bachelors' level or higher preferred
-Previous leadership experience
-Experience with source inspection, surveillance activities and special process at suppliers
-Experience with machined parts, additive manufactured chassis, electronics, optics, and/or printed wire boards
-Experience driving strategies resulting in the strengthening the Quality Management Systems at key suppliers
-Experience with AS9102 (First Article Inspection) methodology / implementation and requirements
-An understanding of engineering drawing requirements including GD&T, electrical and mechanical inspection methods
-Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with Engineering and Technology, Production Operations, Global Supply Chain and other program stakeholders
-Ability to form creative partnerships to improve execution and competitive performance
-Proficient understanding of the SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P) business systems
-Experience with source inspection, surveillance activities and special process at suppliers
-Experience and able to work complex projects from start to finish
-Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment with strong skills in AS9100 certification and compliance requirements
-Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
-ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP)

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
