To be successful as an SQE, you should have excellent analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for directly managing multiple Suppliers within Aristocrat’s Global Supply Chain. Commodities managed will include mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical. Supplier selection, and management during phases of New Product Introduction as well as ongoing product lifecycle ownership will form key parts of this function. Identifying and resolving Supplier-related quality issues, managing Supplier non-conformances, managing Supplier Change Requests and ongoing performance activities are primary responsibilities of this role.
Provides quality and technical subject matter expertise throughout the product lifecycle
Translates design requirements, helps establish Critical-to-Quality characteristics throughout design, works with suppliers, Engineering, Operations and supports Production
Conducts on-site vendor audits. Assesses vendor manufacturing, assembly, and quality practices at their facilities as part of Supplier Selection activities. Provides feedback and recommendations to Aristocrat Senior Leadership
Performs regular quality control audits to ensure vendors continue to work in compliance with standards and mutually agreed processes
Assists in reviewing incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality
Maintains detailed reports on supplier quality and performance, including defect rates and non-conforming material. Reports findings to key internal stakeholders and to Suppliers during Business Reviews
Provides technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates and optimize processes
Serves as a liaison between Aristocrat’s senior management and the vendors to identify quality issues and find solutions
Manages and reports on internal & external Supplier corrective actions
Assists in problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis
Provide training to suppliers and internal teams, as needed
Institutionalizes long-term strategic quality improvement planning
Supports continuous improvement of Aristocrat product design & processes
Standardizes Supplier Quality processes, metrics, and procedures, with an aim to minimize costs and improve efficiency
Contributes to create, promote and support Aristocrat’s culture of quality
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or related field or experience
8+ years of experience in similar roles within a regulated industry
Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills
In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of manufacturing and engineering design
Working history/familiarity with mechanical and electrical design, product manufacturing, and associated special processes such as PCBA manufacture, plating, powder coating, injection molding, die casting, machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication
Good working knowledge of quality control standards and government compliance
Solid working knowledge of 8D/CAPA non-conformance analysis and reporting, APQP, process control plans, FMEA, value-stream mapping, etc.
Ability to guide to improve process efficiency
Excellent communication and liaison skills
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
Certified Six Sigma Green / Black Belt, ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer, Lean Manufacturing Certification, hands-on application experience in deploying improved Quality Systems internally and externally
Proven experience with Supplier Auditing, Supplier management, Design, & Production Quality Engineering
Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Data Systems, MS/Power BI
History of accomplishments in various organizations/industries
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to speak multiple languages a plus (Spanish/Chinese)
This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate. (Includes, but is not limited to FBI Background check, others)
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands
Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/workstation, and respond to written and oral cues
Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment
May be required to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Frequent Domestic and International travel up to 30% Required
