The Supplier Quality Engineer is accountable for providing supplier quality assurance systems to continually improve supplier quality, cost, and delivery performance. This role develops supply base capabilities, resolves product problems, and provides technical interface between the business and suppliers globally.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Leads implementation of supplier quality management strategies
- Audits and qualifies potential suppliers per quality requirements
- Oversees and improves new product qualification and receiving inspection methodologies
- Resolves problems to improve supplier process capability
- Coordinates supplier corrective actions
- Monitors measures of supplier performance and drives appropriate action
- Supports new product introduction (NPI) process for supplier quality responsibilities
- Implements advanced product quality planning methodologies with suppliers
- Conducts testing and trains suppliers in various product testing requirements (ANSI/ASTM)
- Provides quality systems and manufacturing quality support
- Leads others in embracing and demonstrating leadership standards

- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |
Required Education / Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering roles, production or quality
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies
Preferred Education / Experience - Knowledge of product development processes, QS 9000, and preventive QE techniques (FMEA, control plans, flow diagrams, PPAP, QFD, DFM, DFA, SPC, GD&T)
