As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the materials and components that go into every Barletta boat meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You'll partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, solve complex quality challenges, and help deliver products that exceed customer expectations.

What You'll Do

Supplier Quality & Performance

• Evaluate and qualify new and existing suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
• Partner with Purchasing and Supply Chain teams to maintain and improve our approved supplier network.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive measurable quality improvements.

Quality Systems & Compliance

• Develop and implement incoming quality control processes, inspection plans, and testing protocols.
• Ensure materials and components consistently meet specifications and quality requirements.
• Review and maintain supplier quality documentation, certifications, and related records.

Auditing & Problem Solving

• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality management systems and industry standards.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to supplier quality concerns.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to prevent recurring issues.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve supplier quality, reduce waste, lower costs, and increase efficiency.
• Champion the use of quality tools and methodologies to enhance supplier performance and business results.
• Build strong supplier relationships focused on partnership, accountability, and long-term success.

Safety

• Promote and support a Barletta Safe culture by modeling safe behaviors and proactively identifying opportunities to reduce workplace risk.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
• Experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality standards, and supplier quality processes.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Experience with quality methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, 8D, or similar approaches.
• Ability to travel to supplier locations for audits and inspections.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within manufacturing environments.
• Marine, recreational vehicle, automotive, or related industry experience.
• Continuous improvement certification or training.
