Job Summary:

We are continuing to add team members for our new Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineering role in Andover. This high visibility and on-site position will focus on resolution of any nonconformance in supplied material ensuring root cause and corrective actions are completed. With a focus of solving supplied material issues impacting our factories you will be a key player working with leaders in Operations, Quality, Program management and Engineering to solve problems on our nations most advanced defense systems. As one of the initial members of this you need you will also be helping define the role with an overall vision of reducing the impact of supplier nonconformance issues in the factories.

What you will do:

  • Driving a continuous improvement in how we resolve supplier nonconformance issues reducing their impact to the factories
  • Your on-site presence will allow immediate response to potential issues with supplier material and be present for factory tier meetings and working seamlessly with the Operations and Quality teams in each factory.
  • Ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective solutions are fully implemented when non-conformances impact the factory.
  • Use our lessons learned from supplied material non-conformances to reduce future risk across the supply chain
  • Identifying and supporting continuous product / process improvements using statistical / analytical tools such as APQP and lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Working with other Quality functions and cross-functional teams to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills.
  • Systematically translate, analyze, and prioritize customer needs, legal and contractual requirements, variances to predicted/targeted values

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Math and a minimum of 8 years of Quality Engineering, Manufacturing engineering, Supplier Management or related field
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes
  • Experience with commercial and aerospace / defense regulations and standards - i.e. AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9000, ISO-9001, AS9145
  • Experience using either Aerospace or commercial equivalent Preventative tools – APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, etc.
  • Experience with hardware inspection techniques
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Experience building and maintaining collaborative business relationships with customers or partners (both internal and external to Raytheon)
  • Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers and internal teams
  • Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
  • Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery
  • Experience with Export/Import Compliance procedures and regulations
  • Diverse experience with different product technologies (electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, energetics, CCAs)

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
