Payrate: $54.00 - $55.00/hr.

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to ensure the quality and performance of our suppliers through rigorous testing, evaluation, and process improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong background in engineering and manufacturing environments, with a focus on supplier quality management and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of supplies by conducting tests and assessments on incoming supplies to identify any quality issues.
• Develop supplier inspection, testing, and evaluation mechanisms.
• Generate reports on supplier quality by monitoring defect rates and guiding suppliers to reduce these rates.
• Research potential vendors and conduct supplier quality control audits to ensure compliance with organizational and federal policies and standards.
• Support suppliers in improving their performance through process enhancements, process controls, and quality assurance plans.
• Improve supplier performance by identifying capability gaps and implementing corrective actions to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
• Work independently while collaborating with the team as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering. A Master's degree with 3 years of experience is also acceptable.
• 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
• Experience with Iron and Aluminum Casting, Machined parts and processes, and familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Exposure to manufacturing environments involving complex engineered components.
• Ability to navigate supplier relationships and quality systems confidently.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve operational or process issues.
• Focus on process improvement and continuous evaluation of product quality and production methods.
• Commitment to quality management practices and the ability to address root causes beyond the immediate team scope.
• Expertise in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements and submissions to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing standards, procedures, and policies to ensure process compliance.
• Skills in evaluating and certifying suppliers using defined methods and criteria.

**Pay Transparency: ***The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $54.00 - $55.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
