GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The Supervisor/Operator is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the South Tank Farm and Utilities Area in accordance with approved operating procedures, specifications, current work instructions, and assigned training requirements. The Supervisor/Operator must understand and follow applicable safety, environmental, maintenance, electrical and instrumentation, and operating procedures required to operate and maintain assigned equipment and processes. The Supervisor/Operator assists with operating equipment, monitoring process conditions, documenting unit activity, communicating operating status, and supporting material movements as needed to maintain safe unit operation. The Supervisor/Operator must be able to read and understand procedures, permits, operating instructions, lab data, and other necessary information to support safe and efficient unit operation. EQUIPMENT & TOOLS (PERSONAL TOOLS REQUIRED, IF ANY):
Process equipment includes tanks, pumps, compressors, flares, filters, piping, instrumentation, hand tools, and all other tools or equipment consistent with job factors or that may be requested by supervision. |
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Must complete and pass all required training as assigned by Lion Elastomers, LLC. Must be able to wear and use all required personal protective equipment including fire retardant clothing, hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, respiratory protection, and hand protection per assigned area and plant procedures. Must know the location and be familiar with the operation of all safety equipment in the assigned areas. Must know and follow all safe operating procedures for the assigned areas. The Supervisor/Operator is responsible for the Operator in Charge (OIC) duties in area procedures and permits. |
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be capable of bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pulling, pushing, walking, climbing, lifting or other requirements consistent with area procedures or job factors that may be requested by supervision. Normal hearing and vision required. Working conditions may include confined spaces, exposure to chemicals, noise, heat, cold, and smoke/fires. COMMENTS:
Must be alert and able to follow several items at the same time. Must be able to read/write/understand safety regulations and understand the meaning of chemical health hazards. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, understand basic mathematics, pressure and temperatures relating to the operation of the assigned units. Must be able to work in accordance to the employee handbook, Company and Plant Policies. |
