At QuidelOrtho, we’re advancing the power of diagnostics for a healthier future for all. Join our mission as our next Supervisor, Warehouse. This role is responsible for managing all functions within the warehouse at the Summers Ridge Manufacturing Plant. Supervisors coordinate the work of team members to ensure distribution operations are completed efficiently. Some of their essential duties include but not limited to: allocating resources, assigning tasks, recruiting, training, managing inventories, updating records, and monitoring team performance. These functions include operating in a GMP environment and adhering to strong inventory management practices.
This position will be onsite in San Diego, CA.
Implements and enforces health and safety regulations; maintains warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition
Trains employees on all warehouse processes and procedures
Works with warehouse leaders to ensures employee compliance to protocols and standards
Develops and reviews employees performance, provides feedback, and coaches for improvement
Assists in the recruiting, hiring, promoting, and accountability processes as needed
Organizes and supervises warehouse staff in the daily execution of warehouse activities
Ensures products are routed to the appropriate locations
Supervises ensures timely and accurate entry of transactions within the ERP system
Ensures that warehouse inventory is clearly identified and readily accessible.
Takes ownership of Waples DC KPI’s
Meets and exceeds quality expectations and standards required from the department
Identifies continuous improvements for safety, efficiency and cost savings
Fosters a high degree of collaboration with other leaders to support positive morale among warehouse team
Addresses customer complaints
Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Understanding of GMP and FDA procedures
Basic math, reading and comprehension skills
Excellent communication skills
Effective leadership skills
Strong organizational skills
Good customer service skills
Proactive Exceptional problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft office
Eye for detail and accuracy

Preferred:
5 years warehouse experience
College degree
Previous leadership experience
Experience with ERP/WMS software
Ensures effective communication between all support groups (QC, inventory control, planning, facilities, etc.) to meet warehouse/production schedules and quality standards.
Interact with leadership and collaborate with others to determine solutions to problems.
Works with peer groups and/or leadership in conflict resolution. Delivers training on new procedures and policies as appropriate.
The work environment characteristics are representative of a warehouse environment and include handling of boxes and pallets. Pallet handling equipment is available, as well as pallet wrapping materials. Up to 75% of time standing and walking in a pick/pack/ship operation. Flexible work hours to meet project deadlines.
Position requires ability to lift as much as 50 lbs. at least 35 % of the day on a regular basis. Walking, standing, and climbing for long periods of time (up to 50% of the day) are routine to accomplish tasks in this role. May operate a forklift approximately 25% of the time.
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $67,303.53 - $80,000.00 and is bonus eligible.
