Job Purpose:
To coordinate the outbound shipments of finished product in accordance to departmental procedures, customer specifications, and shipping regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Collect the press tickets from the jobs in process and enter the job information into
appropriate company systems to include Visual, Technique and ADSI. Daily reconciliation between the bill of lading, load tickets, and job run list is completed to ensure all shipments are processed accurately.
- Assign driver routes as directed by Shipping Supervisor and/or VP, Operations.
- Assist with forklift operator responsibilities (see forklift operator job description).
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Assist with Lead Roll Truck Driver responsibilities
2. Housekeeping at warehouse storage, staging, and dock area.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Must have three (3) to five (5) of shipping, receiving, warehouse, and material handling experience including experience operating a forklift/clamp truck.
Physical:
- Must be able to lift and/or carry 65 pounds
- May be exposed to hot/humid and/or dusty work environment.
- May be exposed to controlled non-toxic mists or vapors.
Mental:
- Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must be able to read and understand written instructions.
- Position requires strong mathematical skills including common fractions, decimals, and various units of measure.
Technical:
- Must be certified forklift/clamp truck operator
- Must have stretch-wrap machine operator skills.
- Must have steel banding machine operator skills.
- Must be able to operate office equipment such as: computer, calculator, fax, and phone.
