JOB SUMMARY:

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance and operational activities at the assigned site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. This role provides direct leadership to technicians and maintenance personnel and serves as the primary on-site point of contact for customers and vendors. Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: hiring, firing, coaching, issuing disciplinary action, and providing performance management to team members. The Site Supervisor plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, safety compliance, and employee engagement in a fast-paced airport environment.

Operational Support

  • Leads scheduling, work orders, safety, productivity, and material coordination.
  • Coordinate customer service requirements with onsite maintenance personnel to ensure service level commitments are met.
  • Implement work order schedules that maximize technician utilization and effective use of resources.
  • Oversee scheduling of technicians and ensure accurate and timely entry of all required information into the CMMS system.
  • Answer phones, enter work orders into the CMMS, and serve as the first point of contact for customers and vendors.
  • Run operational and CMMS reports; analyze data and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
  • Support Site Manager in monitoring, evaluating, and improving operational performance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and documentation to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Monitoring airport systems, coordinating customer service requests, scheduling technicians, and managing critical data entry within our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

People Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Interviews candidates and partners with the site manager and HR to make hiring decisions.
  • Lead performance management activities, including setting expectations, conducting performance discussions, coaching, counseling, and delivering corrective and disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
  • Supports employee relations and investigations and provides recommendations on the outcomes of the investigations.
  • Provide direct support, guidance, and on-the-job training to team members to build technical capability and engagement.
  • Foster strong working relationships across teams to enhance employee morale, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information, including employee, operational, and business matters, and exercise discretion by not sharing information intended solely for leadership or management.
  • Lead shift handovers, daily briefings, and team communications to ensure alignment and continuity of operations.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and model a strong culture of safety by leading new employee safety orientation and ongoing safety training.
  • Conduct quality control inspections on maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety programs, training requirements, and airport regulatory standards.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, training sessions, airport tours, and required meetings.
  • Maintain the ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Proficient leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance and airport badge.
  • Availability for on-call work, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience
  • 3+ years of experience in airport maintenance services or a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of Site Supervisor, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee frequently climbs or balances and works in small or confined spaces. Ladder work is required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions on an active airport ramp around aircraft, vehicles, and moving equipment, as well as within confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Good hand-eye coordination is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While some administrative duties are performed in an office environment, the Site Supervisor must regularly conduct business in operational areas, including:

  • Outdoor airport ramp environments
  • Near moving machinery parts, conveyor systems, motors, and electrical panels
  • In proximity to vehicles and active jet aircraft
  • Elevated platforms and confined mechanical spaces

Pay Range:

$64,500.00 - $103,500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
