THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Supervisor Quality Assurance you will provide leadership to inspectors and technicians that support final product release, product inspection and sterile load receipt.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assure timely inspections that support materials, product releases and in-process inspections.
  • Assure timely product inspections are generation of documentation as requested by RA to release GTS holds for product post initial release.
  • Assure timely and correct processing and retention of quality records per defined procedures.
  • Assure timely and appropriate reprocessing or salvage of product returns.
  • Maintain staff and equipment to assure appropriate technical capabilities.
  • Monitor inspection procedures for effectiveness.
  • Monitor compliance to appropriate regulatory standards.
  • Effectively communicate with and provide support to other departments as necessary.
  • Maintain a department culture of continuous improvement.
  • Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Sets goals which align to department plans and manages the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring.
  • Maintains a safe and professional work environment.
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 – 10 years quality supervisory experience in medical industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Quality systems auditing experience.
  • 2 or 4 year related degree or 4 to 8 years equivalent experience.
  • ASQ certification in quality, six sigma, and/or lean manufacturing is desired.
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5-25%, including internationally.

The base pay for this position is

$57,300.00 – $114,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
