Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high levels of production, quality, and yield while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This role oversees daily operations on the production floor, ensuring processes run smoothly, staffing is optimized, and all safety and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily production orders to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Ensure all positions are properly staffed prior to production start‑up
  • Oversee production processes to maintain efficiency, quality, and yield
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate basic line maintenance
  • Lead team warm‑ups, job rotations, and ergonomic practices
  • Ensure all workstations pass USDA inspection requirements
  • Promote and enforce safety standards; participate in monthly safety meetings
  • Ensure accurate product coding, inventory rotation, and shipments
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records, including rework and returns
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to team members
  • Address employee performance, attendance, and workplace concerns
  • Communicate company policies, benefits, and expectations to employees
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to resolve operational issues
  • Support continuous improvement and reinforce quality and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; additional education or training preferred
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team

Work Schedule & Travel

  • Shift: 2nd Shift (5:00 PM – 2:00 AM)
  • Travel: Occasionally required (1–5 trips per year)
