Description

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Supervisor with 3–5 years of leadership experience in a blow molding or plastics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading production teams to meet daily goals in safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. The successful candidate will have a solid background in supervising operations involving plastic horticulture containers or similar products.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily blow molding operations, ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of machine operators, material handlers, and support staff (10–25 employees per shift).
Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
Enforce safety procedures and company policies; conduct safety audits and participate in incident investigations.
Ensure compliance with quality control processes and support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean manufacturing, etc.).
Manage labor and material usage to control costs and reduce waste.
Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and operational logs.
Collaborate with other departments such as Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to support plant-wide objectives.
Support onboarding, training, and performance evaluations of production staff.

Pay Range: 57,000-58,000 (Salary)

Qualifications

Qualifications

3–5 years of supervisory experience in a blow molding or plastics manufacturing environment required.
Experience in the production of plastic horticulture containers or similar products is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of blow molding machines, thermoplastics (e.g., HDPE, PP), and mold changeovers.
Proven ability to lead and motivate production teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations, lean manufacturing principles, and quality systems.

Skills & Competencies

Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in using production tracking software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Epicor).
