JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily injection molding operations, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements are achieved. This position provides leadership and direction to production personnel, promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and drives operational performance through effective management of manpower, materials, equipment, and processes. The Production Supervisor works closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Materials teams to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

- Provide daily leadership and supervision of production employees, optimizing manpower, materials, methods, and equipment to achieve production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and engagement through Servant Leadership principles while promoting collaboration across shifts and departments.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, objectives, and operational standards.
- Coordinate workforce planning, staffing, training, and employee development activities to support operational goals.
- Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Oversee and verify the accurate completion of mold changes, first-piece approvals, last-shot documentation, production reporting, process verifications, training records, and standardized work instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility through effective implementation and sustainment of 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Monitor and review key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, scrap, and attendance; develop and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing principles, driving waste reduction, process improvements, and operational excellence.
- Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Materials, and Engineering teams to resolve production issues and ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Coach, develop, and hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, quality standards, and adherence to company expectations.
- Support the achievement of plant goals related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment or equivalent related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams of 50 or more employees with the support of Team Leaders.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems; IQMS experience preferred.
- Experience in thermoplastic injection molding manufacturing.
- Knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, plastics, automation, and robotics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand, stoop, twist, climb and repetitively perform tasks for long periods of time (8 to 12 hours).
- Able to bend the body forward and downward while bending at the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more; bending below the waist or down toward an object on or near the ground.
- Able to work around hot molds, presses, cranes, and industrial equipment and work in tight spaces.
- Able to use hands and fingers to seize, hold, grasp objects.
- Ability to extend arms with the hands higher than the head; reaching at or below shoulder level.
- Ascend or descend ramps and/or stairs using feet and legs.
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (machinery alarms, medical codes, or warnings).
- Work frequently in close proximity to machinery; noise levels are moderate.
- Close vision (distance of 20 inches or less) and ability to identify/distinguish colors.
- Hands-on role 60-80% of the time, with mixture of desk and computer duties.
- Temperature in facility can vary up to 90 degrees. Candidates must be able to perform duties in hot and cold environments..
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% to 100% of the time.
- Able to ascend/descend forklift and standing lift, trailers, steps, ladders etc.
- No aversion to heights
