Sub Arc Welder

Location: Shreveport, LA

Shift: Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00+ per hour (DOE)

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sub Arc Welder (SAW) to join our team in Shreveport, LA. The ideal candidate will perform submerged arc welding on heavy steel components while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate submerged arc welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Weld steel components to specifications and quality requirements.
• Inspect completed welds and perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Work collaboratively to meet production goals.

Must-Haves

• 2+ years of Sub Arc (SAW) welding experience.
• Flux Core (FCAW) and MIG welding experience.
• Experience in heavy industrial, pressure vessel, or structural steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to pass a weld test and pre-employment screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Overhead crane and/or forklift experience.
