Job Description

Job Duties:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications.

Fit, align, and assembel structural parts of ships, brges and marine vessels.

Measure, Cut, grind, tach and prepare metal components for welding

Use hand tools, power tools, cutting torches, grinders and other shipyard equipment

Lay out reference points and patterns on metal plates and structual pieces

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements:

Previous shipyard or marine contractuon experience requiredm

Must be able to read blueprints and use measuring tools.

Must have expereince with fittig steel steel plates, bulkheads, frames and structural components.

Must be aable to pass a hands on skills test.

Must be able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and stand for long periods

Must be dependable and able to report to work on time.

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able to pass drug screen and background requirements

Preferred Qulaifications

TWIC Card preferred

Previous shipyard expereince strongly preferred

OSHA or Saftey certificated are a plus.
