Direct utility experience is preferred, but engineers with transferable structural-steel, tower, bridge, industrial, manufacturing, or heavy-fabrication experience are encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and analyze tubular steel poles, towers, substation structures, foundations, and related componentsPerform structural calculations involving wind, ice, seismic, gravity, and other applicable loadsSize structural members, connections, bolts, welds, and foundationsPrepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentationUse structural-analysis and design software to evaluate structural performanceCoordinate with drafting, manufacturing, fabrication, quality, and project-management teamsReview shop drawings, RFIs, customer specifications, and design revisionsResolve engineering, fabrication, and field-related issuesEnsure designs comply with applicable industry codes and standardsSupport continuous improvement of engineering and manufacturing processesSenior engineers may review junior engineers’ work, provide technical leadership, and seal designs where licensedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or a closely related engineering disciplineStructural-analysis and design experienceKnowledge of structural steel and applicable design principlesExperience with structural calculations, engineering drawings, and load combinationsFamiliarity with structural-design codes such as AISC, ASCE, ACI, or similar standardsAbility to work onsite in the Fort Worth area Tuesday through ThursdayAuthorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorshipPreferred QualificationsEIT certification or active Professional Engineer licenseExperience with transmission poles, utility structures, substations, monopoles, or towersExperience with PLS-POLE, STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000, Mathcad, or similar softwareStructural-steel connection, bolt, weld, and foundation-design experienceExperience working with steel fabricators, manufacturers, detailers, or production teamsKnowledge of tubular steel or heavy fabricated structuresExperience reviewing calculations, shop drawings, and RFIsCompensation and BenefitsBase salary of approximately $95,000–$150,000, based on experience and credentialsAnnual performance bonus potentialHybrid work schedule401(k) with company matchMedical and additional employee benefitsPotential relocation assistanceAdvancement opportunities into lead engineering and management positions
