Job Description
The Commodity Manager for Connectors & Cables will be responsible for setting strategic direction for the product technology and supply base. The role will include managing system integrity and part set ups across the MRP system, supporting internal and external customer meetings, holding compliance standards, and ensuring global trade alignment within company policies. Also, must support overall business goals by analyzing market trends, supplier capabilities, program expectations, and cost and contract terms negotiation.
Core Responsibilities:
- Commodity Strategy: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for Connector & Cable assemblies to optimize cost and ensure supply continuity.
- Strategic Direction: Define, communicate, and lead clear long-term strategies aligned with company growth goals.
- ERP System Integrity: Manage part set ups appropriately within the Oracle system
- Supplier Relationship Management: Identify, qualify, and manage key suppliers and contract manufacturers, hosting regular business reviews.
- Cost & Contract Negotiation: Lead high value contract negotiations, negotiate cost reductions, contract negotiations, lead time reductions, mentoring procurement analysts in negotiation strategies.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with cross function teams to support issues that may arise.
- Leadership Reporting: Ability to analyze, compile and report out data to senior level leadership.
Typical Education and Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

- Project Management: Ability to provide direction, delegate, lead, and pivot quickly to adapt to changing environments.
- Procurement Expertise: Experience in sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, supplier management, and managing customer expectations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams, suppliers, and peers.
- Power Point, Excel, Word, AI
- ERP system experience
- Strong written and communication skills
Preferred Skills and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business or Supply Chain and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
- CSCP or CPIM certificate
- Oracle experience
