Acco Material Handling Solutions (“Acco”) specializes in the manufacturing of material handling equipment, including hoists, cranes, carts and lifters. Its products are used primarily in industrial manufacturing and distribution environments, including aerospace, water treatment, heavy manufacturing, agriculture, mining, automotive, and logistics. Operating from three manufacturing facilities in the US, Acco provides ready to ship stock products or fully engineered custom devices. Products are sold through distributors, as well as to large direct customers.

Job Summary

Receives, unpacks, checks and stores merchandise and materials; fills orders and requisitions. Packs, crates, and ships products and materials to departments or customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Visually inspects product for defects and sets aside defective materials for review.
  2. Enters goods into computerized inventory system, with any other pertinent information according to instructions.
  3. Inspects goods and places materials in designated storage locations in storeroom.
  4. Reports damaged goods to supervisor.
  5. Performs inventory functions as directed (counting, reconciliation of records, etc.)
  6. File and complete paperwork as required.
  7. Takes orders, retrieves requested items from storeroom, and stages material 8. Pulling and Assembly of Bill Of Material (BOM)
  8. Places identification labels on all packages, skids, etc. according to directions.
  9. Reports inventory discrepancies to supervisor.

Pay / Location

   Starting rate - $20.39 per hour with progression to $20.69 per hour. Pending experience level determines starting hourly rate.

Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.) 

  1. Interacts via telephone with other departments as necessary.
  2. Operates all material handling equipment as necessary, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
  3. Performs routine inspection of material handling equipment and reports a need for repairs or replacement to supervisor.
  4. Performs routine maintenance of storeroom and replenishes packing materials as needed.
  5. Good math, reading and language skills.
  6. General computer proficiency sufficient to perform tracking, shipping, and inventory functions as required by job.
  7. Certification as a trained forklift operator.
  8. Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting and verifying
  9. Possesses a good, positive attitude.
  10. Works well within a team.
  11. Demonstrates respect for other associates and supervision.
  12. Dedication to customer service.
  13. Must have forklift experience.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, technical/vocational school a plus

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:

Typical manufacturing conditions.  Must be able to lift 35 – 50 lbs.
