Job Overview:

The Ultra Supply Chain function manages the processes associated with Indirect and Direct Procurement of goods and materials required to meet the operational demands of the business and the logistics of ensuring that materials are available for operations, and the completed products/services are delivered to the customer.

The Logistics function in Ultra manages all supply chain logistics, which includes material planning, inventory control and distribution. The role holder manages a small administrative, technical or operational team, allocating work, supervising the activities of others and managing performance.

Stockroom Lead

Job Description

Ultra Electronics, ICE is seeking a Stockroom Lead to join our Production Team. This role is responsible for processing parts through receiving; examining and inspecting stock items; and managing, organizing, and overseeing the workflow of the stockroom. The ideal candidate will exercise sound judgement, possess critical thinking skills and will be an excellent team player.

Responsibilities

  • Process parts through receiving using the ERP system verifying all identifiable information is correct between the purchase order, the supplier packing slip and the part packaging
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to management
  • Assemble kits using existing inventory for productions builds of new product, verifying part numbers are accurate based on the BOM (bill of material)
  • Perform scheduled cycle counts of selected inventory parts accurately, ensuring they are serviceable and packaged appropriately
  • Ship parts to customers using documented packing instructions, ensuring that product is safe for transit
  • Process part requests for production ensuring all parts are transacted correctly through the ERP system and packaged appropriately based on ESD (electrostatic discharge) and MSL (moisture sensitivity level) requirements
  • Manage, organize, and oversee the workflow of the stockroom, set priorities, goals, and track projects to completion
  • Supervision of two full time employees which includes training, performance management, and managing time and attendance.
  • Additional duties as required

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer one year of experience working in shipping and receiving/warehousing
  • Prefer a minimum of two years’ experience in a leadership role

Physical Requirements

  • Physical demands occasionally required employee to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May require prolonged periods of standing or sitting. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds up to 75 pounds occasionally
