Our client in Painesville, OH is seeking a Stamping Technician!
Primary responsible for all set-ups and tear downs of production dies and cut-off machines; and to provide support services to production machinery to accomplish efficient completion of customer orders including material restock, quality checks and any other duties necessary.
1st & 2nd Shifts Available
7am to 3:3pm, 3:15pm to 11:45pm
Pay is based on experience level.
Duties/Responsibilities
Perform the following machine set-up functions while maintaining quality standards:
Perform time and recordkeeping and routine maintenance activities associated with stamping, including:
Provide training for die operator(s) on safe and efficient machine operations.
Restock all raw materials as required to maintain smooth production.
Perform auxiliary duties not directly related to stamping (e.g. unloading of trucks).
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate detailed information.
Ability to complete simple math such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of one year of Progressive Die Set-Up experience.
Physical Requirements
Hands to finger coordination.
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
Occasional sitting; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
