Position Summary

Overton Industries is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Press Operator to support our high‑speed stamping operations. This role is responsible for safely handling coiled steel, performing precision measurements, and maintaining accurate production documentation in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate high‑speed stamping presses in a safe, efficient, and consistent manner

  • Load and unload coiled steel using overhead cranes in accordance with safety protocols

  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and related gauges to verify part accuracy

  • Maintain and record production data, inventory logs, and order‑specific documentation across multiple charts

  • Read and interpret dimensional part prints and follow specifications with a high level of accuracy

  • Adhere to all required PPE standards, including ear protection, safety glasses, and approved safety gloves

  • Demonstrate a strong will to learn new skills and support additional production tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment and a minimum of 1 year of stamping press experience.

Skills

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounts, and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Certifications: Forklift certification or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Work Environment

  • The role involves working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking fluids.

  • Standard shift hours with potential for overtime or shift work based on production needs.
