Description
Futaba is a stamping and production manufacturer located in Vincennes, Indiana. We are looking for a Stamping Assistant Manager to join our operation and assist in providing leadership and coordinates the activities of the Stamping production alongside their Manager. This position should oversee safety, quality, cost, and delivery and management activities in the stamping zones including daily operation as well as continues improvement.
· Assist in monitoring the production schedules to ensure product(s) are manufactured and scheduled delivery dates are met in order to plan department operations.
· Administrative knowledge regarding budgeting, data collection, capital equipment analysis, and Hoshin Planning.
· Assist in establishing priorities for the department.
· Develop and Coordinate cost reduction activities to achieve yearly targets.
· Preview and supply production and operating reports and resolve operational manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays to our customers.
· Collective and analyzing data to complete production reports and initiate action if needed.
· Develop and work with Supervisors in all areas such as Team Member relations, problem solving, setting and achieving goals, manufacturing processes, scheduling, equipment problems, etc.
· Work closely with departments in the areas of safety and quality, Ensure programs are maintained, the department is in compliance with the standards, and the appropriate training is effectively given to all Team Members.
· Solid analytical and problem- solving skills.
· Provide assistance to Team Members and Group Leaders in solving work-related problems. Evaluate the issue and consult management and/or Human Resources as needed to determine the most effective solution.
· Develops and revises standard operation and working practices and observes Team Members to ensure compliance.
· Report to Manager any problems that may arise
· Accuracy with detail, planning, and organizing efficiency
· Work with Supervisors on kaizen activities to promote continued improvement.

· Strong Leadership skills, mentoring skills and people skills
· Understanding of FIA processes
· Good math skills
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Basic understanding of TPS
· Basic computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office is essential.
· Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient computer skills, with additional experience in Microsoft Office programs
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Capability to maintain confidentiality as required
