We are seeking a Staff Accountant who is eager to go beyond traditional accounting responsibilities and become a key contributor to process improvement, financial analysis, and organizational growth. Position Summary

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting function while partnering with the Controller and CFO on financial reporting, process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end closing activities.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support financial statement preparation and management reporting.

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Support

  • Assist with cost accounting analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing-related reporting.
  • Analyze production and operational costs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support inventory reconciliations and physical inventory processes.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Partner with the accounting team to improve and streamline accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial processes.
  • Participate in ERP system enhancements, automation projects, and technology initiatives.
  • Help document, update, and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.

Audit & Compliance

  • Assist with annual audits and coordinate requests from external auditors.
  • Support compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

Collaboration & Special Projects

  • Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
  • Communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned by the Controller and CFO.

**Qualifications **

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience with cost accounting and inventory accounting.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with IQMS/DELMIAWorks ERP or similar manufacturing ERP systems.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience supporting process automation initiatives.
