Job Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the safety of warehouse staff and promote a culture of safety throughout the warehouse.
  • Oversee the receiving, storing, and shipping of products, including inventory management and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Work with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure efficient inventory management and timely order fulfillment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and warehouse operations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the warehouse budget and make recommendations for cost savings.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Desired master’s degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in warehouse management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping and receiving procedures. Experience managing and supervising staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for warehouse operations.
