Lead data validation and testing for QA strategy in data engineering.

What You'll Do

Establish and lead QA strategy for our data engineering stack—including pipelines, transformations, reporting, and data quality checks.
Design and implement test strategies for ETL pipelines, data transformations, and BI dashboards.
Conduct manual and automated testing for data pipelines and reports.
Validate Looker dashboards and reports for data correctness, layout integrity, and performance.
Automate data validations using SQL and Python.
Own and develop the data QA roadmap, from manual testing practices to full automation and CI/CD integration.
Maintain test documentation, including test plans, cases, and defect logs (e.g., in Jira).

What We're Looking For

5+ years in QA roles, with a focus on data engineering and reporting environments.
Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating large datasets, and Python.
Experience testing Looker reports and dashboards (or similar tools like Tableau/Power BI).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
A proactive and determined approach to successfully implement QA strategies.
