Description

Lomont Molding LLC, an innovative custom plastics manufacturer is looking to expand its engineering team. The Lomont group is looking to add a Sr. Quality & Manufacturing Engineer that can drive a high level of customer support by delivering exceptional products with the highest level of quality.

Qualifications


Assure consistent quality of production by assisting in the development of production processes, including creating and updating production documents.

Validates production processes through inspections.

Assist production by determining product quality standards for new and existing products.

Communicate with customers regarding product quality concerns, and provide customer with applicable documentation/reports as necessary.

Conduct visual and measurement ests/verifications to ensure products comply with quality standards.

Review production paperwork to ensure operator and Team Lead measurements and tests are within prescribed tolerances.

Train Team Leads in relation to quality requirements, gauging practices, etc.

Conduct receiving inspection as required.

Disposition nonconforming product and create rework instruction and/or deviations (both internal and customer-approved) for nonconforming product as appropriate.

Assist with PPAPs (capability studies, inspections, gage R&Rs, PFMEA, control plans, etc.) under the direction of a Quality Engineer or the Quality Manager.

Initiate and complete corrective actions.

Assist with gage calibration.

Review inventory and correct discrepancies.

Educational Requirements/Prerequisites:

Bachelors in Engineering or a relate field

Reading, writing, and basic math skills

Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to interpret blueprints/engineering drawings

Ability to communicate well

Proficient with various gages

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
