Job Overview:

About JLG, an Oshkosh company

JLG began in 1969, when our founder, John L. Grove set out to resolve growing safety concerns in the construction industry. Since then we have been committed to understanding the challenges and delivering innovative solutions to the access market. We partner with customers to provide quality equipment, training opportunities and trusted support within the access industry. We are a global company, and our products—including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories—can be found all over the world.

JLG is seeking a strategic and market-driven Senior Product Manager to lead the direction and lifecycle of key access equipment product lines. This is a high-visibility role that directly shapes regional and global product strategy while driving commercial success across the portfolio.

The ideal candidate has experience in the Access Equipment industry — including booms, scissor lifts, and telehandlers — or adjacent construction, rental, or heavy equipment sectors, with a deep understanding of customer applications, jobsite demands, and channel dynamics. Experience in service, aftermarket, rental, or sales-facing roles is highly valued, as is an engineering background that enables technical credibility and strong partnership with technical teams.

This leader will act as the strategic hub across Engineering, Operations, Sales, Service, Marketing, and global teams — driving alignment, accelerating decision-making, and ensuring successful product execution from idea to market and throughout the lifecycle. Success in this role requires commercial acumen, technical curiosity, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence without authority in a complex global environment.

Your Impact

  • Own the full lifecycle of key access equipment platforms (scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers), shaping roadmap strategy and long-term portfolio direction.
  • Develop and execute Multi-Generation Product/Enhancement Plans aligned to regional and global growth objectives.
  • Act as the strategic hub across Engineering, Operations, Sales, Service, Marketing, and global teams — driving alignment from concept through commercialization.
  • Translate voice-of-customer (VOC), competitive insights, and market analysis into differentiated product definitions and compelling value propositions.
  • Partner with technical teams to prioritize initiatives and deliver solutions that meet market timing, performance, and customer expectations.
  • Guide pricing strategy and monitor portfolio performance, including margin, market share, and competitive positioning.
  • Lead successful product launches, including field trials, demonstrations, and go-to-market execution.
  • Equip Sales and Service teams with the tools and messaging needed to clearly articulate value-based selling propositions.
  • Engage directly with customers, dealers, and rental partners to validate strategy and identify growth opportunities.
  • Coach and mentor team members while driving accountability and delivering measurable business results.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. Technical degree preferred.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience.
  • Ability to travel 0% up to 30%, this is highly dependent on business cycle and needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the access equipment, construction equipment, rental, or heavy equipment industry.
  • Direct familiarity with scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, or similar platforms.
  • Service, aftermarket, rental, or sales experience.
  • Engineering background or strong technical product development exposure.
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional environments.
