Job Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide shop-level leadership in developing new products and enhancement of existing products, coordinating with Commerce and Sales. 
  • Troubleshooting and leading mfg floor problem resolution.
  • Enhancing material and process efficiency to ensure compliance with customer specifications and optimal suitability for the production processes.
  • Generating comprehensive documentation for processes and materials, encompassing part masters, routers, bills of material, external process instructions, and raw material specifications to meet internal and external standards.
  • Implementing a dependable and ergonomically sound production process, facilitating the smooth transition and training from development to production stages.
  • Writing SOPs and ensuring that documentation is completed properly
  • Provide support to other asset areas as requested 
  • Lead, managing and collaborate in large-scale engineering projects 
  • Manage and execute projects and/or programs of moderate to high level complexity ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, company standards, operation requirements and business needs 
  • Coordinate activities from project management, utilizing a systematic approach for project execution 
  • Develop imaginative strategies for the efficient completion of projects 
  • Lead the optimization of process output and throughput, equipment utilization, equipment downtime, waste reduction/yield improvements, budget management, standard cost and capital investment management in an innovative way
  • Provide coaching, technical oversight and support for the activities of other engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering or relevant Science/Engineering discipline along with professional industry experience 
  • 5+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in an industrial material manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer-centric problem-solving, employing strategic troubleshooting to optimize intricate manufacturing processes.
  • Extensive expertise in product realization processes, showcasing a depth of knowledge in various processing technologies such as injection, extrusion, compression, and transfer molding techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality control principles and experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Ability to work in all areas of the plant.
  • At least 5 years managing people or departments.
