The Opportunity
This position works out of our Woodridge, MN location in the Structural Heart division.

Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.
Participate as required within process development on various engineering efforts for new process / product development. Responsible for performing various technical tasks on a variety of development projects as assigned by engineering. These tasks include but are not limited coordination of development builds as well as assisting with generation of documentation, change orders, test method development and execution, fixture design and fabrication, equipment programming and qualification, prototyping, data collection and analysis.
What You’ll Work On
- Coordinate and execute building of prototypes/products per engineering design and instructions.
- Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
- Create and maintain accurate records to recreate desired build processes and designs.
- Participate as required within process development on various engineering efforts for new product development.
- Troubleshoot and suggest creative solutions to design and testing issues including opportunities for automation.
- Fabrication of various manufacturing equipment including the use of simple machining equipment and hand tools.
- Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages and possibly ability to analyze data using basic statistics.
- Assist in the documentation creation, editing and change orders management (i.e. drawings, specs, manufacturing procedures, inspections, travelers, etc.) required to support new product development projects.
- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing and inspection processes.
- Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all tasks that require such precautions.
- Willingness for active participation, active listening, interpreting, cooperation and flexibility to allow for a successful self-managed team.
- Be able to clearly communicate ideas, problems and solutions to engineers.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
Education
Education Level
Technical Diploma (± 12 years): an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years
- Technician experience
- General manufacturing processing knowledge.
- Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes in the medical device industry and lab equipment required.
- Documentation in the medical device industry, general practices.
- Experience with CNC machining or basic machinist equipment is preferred.
- Experience with automation controls and assembly is preferred.
- Experience with Injection molding maintenance is preferred.
- Requires solid computer skills using Microsoft Office, Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
- Solid problem solving and organization skills required.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Occasional overtime is a requirement of this position.

The base pay for this position is
$27.65 – $55.35/hour
