The Senior Operations Manager (Sr. Ops Manager) position is critical to ensure the success and continued growth of our operations. This role will focus on the following key areas:
1. Labor Planning: The Sr. Ops Manager will oversee labor forecasting, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize staffing levels in alignment with operational needs. This ensures efficient workforce utilization, cost control, and the ability to meet fluctuating demands.
2. KPI Performance: The Sr. Ops Manager will drive the performance of key operational metrics (KPIs), ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds productivity, safety, and quality targets. This focus will help maintain high standards across all shifts and departments.
3. Coaching Operations Managers and Supervisors: This role will provide leadership and mentorship to the two Operations Managers (Ops Manager I) for Day and TWI shifts. By developing their skills and supporting their professional growth, the Sr. Ops Manager will foster a high-performing management team that drives operational excellence.
4. Shift-Level Continuous Improvement: The Sr. Ops Manager will lead efforts for continuous improvement at the shift level. This includes identifying opportunities for process optimization, implementing Lean and Six Sigma principles, and ensuring that the team works efficiently and safely.
The Sr. Ops Manager will have two direct reports: the Operations Managers for Day and Swing shifts. They will be responsible for the overall performance and coordination of daily operations. Indirectly, this position will manage a team of 200+ employees, including 8 supervisors, leads, and hourly workers. By overseeing both management and frontline teams, the Sr. Ops Manager will ensure a cohesive and productive workforce that supports company objectives.
This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and developing leadership talent to support the organization's strategic goals.
