We are seeking a highly skilled Experienced NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer to lead cross-functional project execution, support customer programs, and ensure successful product transitions into manufacturing.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate activities across multiple departments as new products and projects are introduced into production
- Evaluate product documentation to ensure manufacturing readiness and completeness
- Serve as a primary interface between customers, engineering teams, and internal departments to resolve design, quality, process, and material issues
- Lead DFM/DFT (Design for Manufacturability / Design for Test) reviews, kickoff meetings, readiness reviews, and project wrap-up meetings
- Collaborate closely with Test and Design Engineering teams on project execution
- Create and manage Internal Change Requests (ICRs) and related engineering documentation
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously using a structured phase-gate process
- Develop innovative solutions to manufacturing and process challenges while driving continuous improvement
- Generate customer feedback reports and implement corrective actions to improve manufacturability and production efficiency
- Support production and operations teams to ensure successful new product launches
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of SMT, selective soldering, and wave soldering operations
- Understanding of machine shop operations and advanced manufacturing processes
- Experience working within ERP systems, preferably Syteline
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Mechanical engineering drawings
- Production drawings
- Wiring diagrams
- Electronic schematics
- Routers and manufacturing documentation
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proven ability to manage priorities, facilitate meetings, and drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional customer-facing communication skills
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field with 7+ years of relevant experience
OR - Associate degree in a related technical field with 9+ years of relevant experience
OR - High school diploma with 12+ years of relevant manufacturing and engineering experience
- Previous project management experience required
- Previous manufacturing environment experience required
