Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the process validation plan and associated process risk documentation.
  • Solves complex problems and helps coach and mentor other Engineers.
  • Establish Root cause and provide solutions quickly.
  • Develop manufacturing processes. Utilize cross-functional participation to ensure that the equipment and process and processes are compatible with the entire value stream. Efforts should include: Early equipment management, workstation design, material presentation, standard work and single piece flow.
  • Working with PD team, ensure design/process capability has been successfully completed before launch.
  • Leads development of molded component activities for establishing and qualifying molding process lines. Partner with Operations and Quality to ensure flawless delivery of new molding processes.
  • Will be local T.I.M.E. champion leading implementation of standard molding practices.
  • leads the mold tool development and procurement, including organizing DFM activities, tool schedule and tolling documentation.
  • Assist in the design and development of Molded components to include DFM activities in early phases.
  • Own development runs and prototype builds prior to PQ completion.
  • Own IQ of tool, OQ/PQ of process with T.I.M.E. principals applied.
  • Maintain tooling schedule and partner with Program Manager for schedule changes.
  • Ownership of new Extrusion quick turn development and process validations.
  • Ability to design and procure extrusion tooling.
  • Validate new extrusions, ensuring capable processes released to manufacturing.
  • Consult and inform process and Tool SME's along the development lifecycle.
  • Collect performance data from Operations and implement best practice changes to increase delivered processes KPIs.
  • Develop PM schedule and requirements for the mold tools. • Assist in solving production problems as needed.
  • Ensure safe work environment for yourself and others, comply with all company. policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in manufacturing environment with extensive experience in mold machine operation with mold tooling and process documentation.
  • Ability to setup/start-up and tear down an extrusion line including tooling selection and process development.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of injection molding equipment.
  • Experience in part design and tool design for injection molding.
  • Detail oriented with excellent project management skills.
  • Track record of working in fast paced environments.
  • Ability to work on many different projects at the same time.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Green Belt certification in Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Experience in designing, procuring, assembling, troubleshooting and validating equipment.
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD software, 2D& 3D.
  • Experience in a structured regulatory environment with advanced quality systems such as ISO13485, ISO 9001.
  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Bio-Medical Engineering.
