The Business Solution Engineer (SE) will function as a technology expert within the Samsung Mobile Carrier Enterprise Business Unit. This role will require extensive knowledge and expertise of the US Carrier space across all areas of technology. This will include, but not be limited to, mobile devices, operating systems and solutions. The SE will be required to position best in class mobile solutions for carrier customers leveraging Samsung Mobile’s B2B portfolio, including Samsung Knox and solutions from Samsung Mobile’s partner ecosystem. The SE will function as a technical expert working directly with customers and partner to develop, implement, and support advanced and security focused mobile solutions. Providing advanced technical pre-sales support, for the sales organizations which they support, will drive core day to day activities.

  • Overall technical sales support for the Carrier B2B sales teams.
  • In depth knowledge of technology and solutions specific to T-Mobile, such as T-Priority, T-Satellite, 5GUC etc…
  • Prepare and deliver technical training and sales presentations to Carrier partners and customers.
  • Understand and remove technical challenges or roadblocks with Enterprise customers looking to deploy Samsung mobile solutions.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) and ‘Technical Evangelist’ for Samsung Mobile’s B2B product and Knox solution portfolio
  • Address all technical pre-sales challenges brought to the Samsung Enterprise Sales team from channel sales partners or their enterprise customers
  • Provide product line sales support, feature development, and product category intelligence. Test advertised functionality and work to fill any gaps within portfolio. Search out and find new applications that are strategic to Samsung Mobile.
  • Act as liaison between customers and Samsung Technical Delivery Manager when necessary.
  • Assist in the development and management of product launch programs to ensure effective launch of new B2B products.
  • Business Travel to support sales teams efforts in a sales environment (Up to 50%)
  • Work and maintain work queue to support Sales Engineering organization with technical escalations or research.
  • Conduct regular in-person and web-based product sales demo sessions for customers. This will require the deepest level of knowledge of Samsung products and solutions. You will be the front-line of knowledge for features and functionality.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in information technology OR mobile OS support. Experience working with mobile carriers, customers and solution selling for technical needs.
  • Candidate must have efficient knowledge in EMM, MDM, and mobile security solutions.
  • 6+ years of work experience in one of the top 3 carriers – TMO preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, exceptional presentation skills and the ability to handle large audiences are a must. Candidate must take pride in being the subject matter expert, but they must able to say “I don’t have that answer, but I can get it for you” when they truly do not know the answer to a customer or partner’s question.
  • Candidate must be able to appropriately handle internal and external high-profile escalations.
  • Ability to function efficiently and effectively in a high paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Comfortable supporting in person and video support/web chat support queue to support Samsung products and solutions.
  • A willingness to take charge and address both obvious and obscure tasks as they arise with minimal direction.
  • A willingness to work on opportunities both large and small

WASHINGTON STATE ONLY

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $185,000 and $229,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
