The Level 4 Power Systems Engineer is a senior technical contributor responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and validation of complex electrical power architectures supporting radar systems.
This role leads technical efforts, mentors junior engineers, and collaborates closely with cross functional teams to ensure power solutions meet performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives throughout the system lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus in Power
* 9+ years of professional experience, or 7 Years with a masters degree
* Ability to obtain DoD security clearance
• Demonstrated expertise in electrical high-power systems (100 kW+), including AC/DC, DC/DC converters and inverter/rectifier systems
* Experience with conceptual design of AC/DC power distribution, generation, conversion, and energy storage systems
* Experience with military standards including MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-1399
* Experience translating test requirements into test procedures and demonstrated knowledge of operating test equipment
Desired skills
* Knowledge of high voltage/High-current safety, grounding, and shielding
* Experience with Power Modeling/Simulation Software such as PSpice
* Experience coordinating root cause and corrective action investigation internally as well as with suppliers
* Experience analyzing systems requirements to develop overall power architecture for the radar system and support of proposals for new business
* Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, stakeholders, subcontractors and customers
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to work effectively in a team environment
* Occasional travel to customer sites and/or suppliers

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
National Pay Statement
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $181,113.
