PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and lead the BU’s Supply Chain Risk Framework, identifying vulnerabilities across suppliers, logistics, and inventory networks.
• Conduct regular risk assessments for geopolitical, financial, capacity, and supply continuity threats.
• Build and maintain risk mitigation playbooks for single-source suppliers, long-lead materials, and critical path products.
• Lead cross-functional response planning for major disruptions (e.g., tariffs, freight constraints, or regulatory shifts).
• Partner with Procurement and Product Line teams to qualify alternate sources, negotiate continuity agreements, and strengthen supplier performance.
• Drive supplier segmentation and risk scoring based on financial health, quality, lead time, and dependency.
• Support Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and make-vs-buy analyses for high-impact commodities.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Engineering, and Operations to ensure sourcing strategies align with business objectives and cost reduction targets.
• Implement supplier performance management processes and facilitate structured business reviews.
• Review and optimize planning parameters (safety stock, lead time, reorder points, MRP settings) to balance supply and demand.
• Lead initiatives to improve inventory health, minimizing excess, obsolescence, and shortages.
• Implement and maintain KPI dashboards that track performance across OBES, OTD, PPV, Freight, Turns, Accuracy, and exposure to volatility.
• Facilitate monthly Supply Chain Performance Reviews to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Participate in S&OP to align inventory, production, and supply strategies with demand forecasts.
• Establish standards, processes, and decision tools that ensure transparency and control across the supply chain.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on digital enablement, data integrity, and operational scalability.
• Maintain stewardship for Supply Chain best practices and ensure compliance with NOV policies and HSE requirements.
• Partner with IT and Data Analytics teams to enhance ERP and reporting capabilities.
• Mentor and coach Supply Chain leaders and analysts to strengthen organizational capability and analytical maturity.
• Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring all material handling and logistics operations comply with NOV’s HSE standards.
• Conduct periodic safety and risk audits, ensuring proactive mitigation of workplace hazards.
• Foster a high-performance culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure full compliance with NOV Company policies and HSE procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering) is preferred and may substitute for some experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Operations, or Engineering, ideally within industrial manufacturing, energy, or oilfield equipment environments.
• Demonstrated success leading strategic supply chain or risk management initiatives across global networks or multi-site operations.
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams, developing talent, and driving organizational change.
• Proven track record of using data-driven decision-making to improve cost, delivery, and risk performance.
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and analytics tools (Excel, Power BI) is required.
• Hands-on experience implementing continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven ability to develop, monitor, and act on KPI dashboards related to supply chain health and performance.
