Job Description

The International Communications senior manager leads communications for international F-35 efforts while partnering with Aeronautics line of business and Global Business Development and Strategy communications colleagues to tell an integrated global story. The senior manager is responsible for setting overall direction and working with teammates to develop and maintain regional and country-specific communications strategies and plans.

The senior manager will lead a team of communicators, providing mentoring and coaching, assigning appropriate work assignments and executing the communications strategy.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Develop integrated communications strategies for international F-35 including capture efforts and keep-sold campaigns
• Partner across Aeronautics to develop and tell larger international 21st Century Security and air dominance stories
• Manage Aeronautics PR agencies and related budget
• Build and maintain strong relationships with F-35 Customer Programs, Business Development, Global Business Development & Strategy Communications, international customer public affairs officers and international PR agencies
• Lead crisis and issues management for international F-35 programs coordinating as appropriate with the Corporate Communications, Lockheed Martin Government Affairs and broader Aeronautics communications team
• Manage relevant international media relations by building trusted relationships with key reporters, pitching stories and fielding queries
• Provide strategic direction for marketing and digital media assets for use on Lockheed Martin channels
• Position executives to tell the one-Lockheed Martin story and build credibility as industry thought leaders
• Support relevant trade shows
• Use metrics, data and feedback to continuously improve, adjust and drive decisions
• Execute special projects as required

Preference is for position to be based in Fort Worth, TX. Will consider remote work.

Basic Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience.
• Candidate should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to connect multiple activities into a single narrative.
• Comfortable interfacing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organizations.
• Self-motivated, able to work well under deadline and adapt to evolving circumstances.
• Ability to develop strategic compromises when appropriate.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements.

Desired skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 15+ years of experience.

• Familiarity with contemporary communications trends and industry techniques, including new media.

• Quick study with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

• Motivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines.

• Experience with AI and other emerging communication technology.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $124,900 - $220,225. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $143,600 - $248,975. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
