What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems on heavy construction equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, fluid changes, and minor diesel engine repairs
- Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Travel to customer job sites within the assigned region as needed for equipment service, repairs, and operator training
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards
- Provide customers with guidance on equipment operation and maintenance best practices
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- 7+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment - must have 7+ years to be considered
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Experience using digital voltmeters (DVMs)
- Working knowledge of CANbus systems and PLCs
- Ability to provide personal tools required for the position
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination
Preferred
- 10+ years of heavy construction equipment experience
- Welding experience
- Advanced diesel engine troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience working independently in both shop and field service environments
- Prior experience training or mentoring technicians
