The pay range is $71,000.00 - $128,000.00

As a Sr. Global Trade Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing Target's global supply chain while decreasing financial exposure and providing meaningful data analysis to Global Trade leadership and other key stakeholders. In this role, you will be supporting Target’s First Sale duty savings program and Global Trade Finance operations through analysis and creation of optimized reporting and financial forecasts. You will be responsible for identifying and analyzing large amounts of data, and business cases around key projects and providing consultation to leadership on the impacts to Target and Global Trade. You will leverage data to drive operational efficiencies, reduce regulatory risk and further reinforce Global Trade’s high standards of compliance.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leverage experience and emerging trends or opportunities to identify innovative strategies to support Target's import strategy.
  • Drive communication with leadership and key internal and external partners. At times, may require influencing key objectives of respective work.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership and stakeholders based on data analysis and experience.
  • Support team by escalating business partner performance issues to drive resolution and accountability. May provide guidance, coaching and training to other team members within job area.
  • Support efforts to optimize Target's supply chain and minimize financial exposure.
  • Identify strategic opportunities and support key trade related or enterprise initiatives, some involving close interactions with leadership from Owned Brands, Merchandising, overseas sourcing offices, Finance, trade banks and import merchandise vendors
  • Develop, maintain and analyze reporting and seek ways to strategize, innovate and improve the efficiency of operations.
  • Stay current with the ever-changing and complex regulatory environment of tariffs, trade programs and import compliance.

Other Working Relationships: This position works closely with the broader Global Trade Finance team as well as Global Trade Systems, Brokerage and Compliance teams. Other internal relationships include Owned Brands, Merchandising, Finance, Treasury and Operational Intelligence teams. External partnerships include import trade banks, consolidators, brokers, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of industry experience in global trade or finance
  • Excellent research, problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets with accuracy and precision; develop and utilize analytics tools
  • Highly proficient at Excel/Smartsheet
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take the lead on strategic projects and enterprise-wide initiatives that include interactions with Sr. Leadership and teams across the organization
  • Ability to proactively identify risks and downstream impacts
  • Self-motivated and proven track record of demonstrating initiative and working independently
  • Ability to balance data with experience to make decisions and move quickly
  • Ability to indirectly lead and influence others

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
