Overview
Operate independently to perform engineering valve design functions for the development of new products and for the modification of existing products, in accordance with corporate strategic plans. Provide guidance and support to less experienced engineers as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
· Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering degree.
· 7+ years of engineering experience.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
· Effective communication skills - verbal and written
Creative thinker with a willingness to learn and contribute ideas.
Organized, able to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working independently to drive program success and completion
Highly Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with a mastery of analytical tools such as ANSYS, MATLAB, and Mathcad, and the ability to apply them effectively in design and analysis tasks, and the ability to support others in their analysis
Mastery of geometric tolerance techniques and drafting to ensure proper alignment and stackups (ANSI Y14.5M-1994 is a plus)
Experience with designing fluid handling devices (valves, pumps)
