Position Summary:The Senior Cloud Engineer – Directory Services & Microsoft 365 is responsible for operational and engineering support of PFG’s enterprise identity, directory, and collaboration platforms. This role serves as a technical lead for Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, identity governance, automation, and related cloud services across a Fortune 100-sized environment supporting more than 43,000 associates in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Duties include configuring, managing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 workloads, as well as implementing and maintaining security and compliance best practices. Responsible for incident response and problem management, including timely resolution of incidents, identification of root causes, and documentation of processes. Furthermore, this role involves participation in merger & acquisition related migrations and deployment projects, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:- Provide senior-level operational support for enterprise directory services, Microsoft 365, identity platforms, and related cloud services, including timely resolution of incidents, service requests, escalations, and problem management activities.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive administrative tasks, improve service reliability, reduce operational risk, and enhance the user experience across identity and collaboration platforms.
- Support merger, acquisition, and divestiture activities by planning and executing identity, directory, email, collaboration, and access integration workstreams across acquired or transitioning business units.
- Ensure directory services, Microsoft 365 configurations, and identity solutions comply with established technical, security, compliance, and governance standards across the enterprise.
- Coordinate and oversee contractor and vendor assistance for project delivery, operational support, remediation activities, and specialized technical work, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and expected outcomes.
- Develop, maintain, and improve operational documentation, technical standards, runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge articles for directory services and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Manage and configure Microsoft 365 services, such as Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Azure AD.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of experience in system administration or IT support roles
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 technologies
(Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, Azure AD)
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python)
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance
standards
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft certifications (Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams
Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator)
• Experience with cloud migration and deployment projects
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
