As a General Engineer at Parsons you will leverage your extensive experience in specialized applications and operational analysis to support our network and computing infrastructure. You will be involved in all phases of software development, with a particular focus on planning, analysis, modeling, simulation, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation. Your role will also include coordinating test events, creating test plans and scripts, and managing defect databases

What You'll Be Doing:

• Specialized Applications and Analysis: Provide highly specialized applications and operational analysis.
• Infrastructure Support: Plan and support network and computing infrastructure, ensuring robust and efficient operations.
• Networking Technologies: Utilize your knowledge in networking technologies to contribute to various projects and initiatives.
• Software Development Phases: Participate in all phases of software development, with an emphasis on planning, analysis, modeling, simulation, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation.
• Test Coordination: Work with developers, end users, and organizations to create test plans and test scripts. Coordinate with test sites and other team participants to plan test events.
• Report Creation: Create comprehensive reports, track problems, and report on errors identified during testing.
• Hardware and Operating Environments: Configure necessary hardware and operating environments to complete assigned testing tasks.
• Technical Expertise: Apply comprehensive technical expertise on IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, networks, and specialized environments.
• Test Plans and Procedures: Write or assist in the development of test plans and test procedures.
• Defect Management: Manage the defect database under the guidance of senior QA engineers.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required with 8+ years experience. 14+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance if it is required in the future.
• Experience in providing highly specialized applications and operational analysis.
• Experience in planning and supporting network and computing infrastructure.
• Experience working with developers, end users, and organizations to create test plans and test scripts.
• Experience in configuring necessary hardware and operating environments for testing.
• Experience in writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures.
• Experience in managing defect databases.
• Knowledge in networking technologies.
• Comprehensive technical expertise on IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, and networks.

Salary Range:

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
