Summary Job Description
This position is responsible for using the 8-way hand tie method to install springs in frames used in the manufacture of upholstered furniture.
Essential Duties
- Places springs in frame and ties down using the 8-way hand tie method
- Cover springs in seat with FLW and attaches using staple gun
- Installs no sags on backs of frame as needed
- Applies burlap fabric to arms and legs and uses staples or nails to attach burlap and metal bands
- Applies edge wire where needed
- Builds backs, installs Marshall units no sags, webbing, drop-in units, and edge roll
- Frequently rotates in each job functions throughout the day
- Attaches metal bonding underneath units by stapling onto wood surface, as appropriate
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous spring up/8-way hand tying experience required

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; rarely up to 100 lbs.
