Specialty Weld Associate 1

If you put safety first, are a team player who can work independently, have strong attention to detail and a good work ethic, and are looking for an opportunity to grow, a role as a Fisher Barton Specialty Weld Associate 1 might be for you.  You will learn skills in robotic welding and learn to use calipers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.  You will do this by:

• Adhering to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
• Producing assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitively lifting and placing metal work pieces and sheets into fixtures manually and repetitively, removing completed assemblies
• Reading control plans and prints to determine specifications, such as parts and fixtures to be used, placement of parts, dimensions and tolerances, proper labeling of parts, etc.
• Accurately completing all required functions to ensure only quality product is produced and shipped to customers
• Safely completing finishing functions such as grinding, sanding, etc.
• Performing operator maintenance and/or 5S housekeeping

 Required Qualifications:

• Basic math skills to analyze information and measuring equipment 
• Basic computer skills

 Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

 Physical | Visual Demands:

• Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
• Able to sit, stand, squat and bend
• Reach overhead with one or both arms
• Able to work quickly and swiftly with large, heavy machinery and products
• Repetitive movement of lifting and placing parts on machines / up to 15 pounds
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 pounds

 Work Environment:

• Manufacturing: Loud (Examples:  metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)
• The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of environmental conditions.

 Work Location: 1040 S 12th Street | Watertown, WI

 Shift: 3rd Shift, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sunday to Thursday with availability to work overtime
