Job Overview:

Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for assisting with completion of the field programs required to ensure compliance with CDPHE’s fugitive gas vapor (methane) emissions rules. These responsibilities include participating in field required STEM and LDAR compliance inspections, minor leak repairs and follow-up procedures.  It is expected this individual will work in unison with other field compliance team members, environmental compliance team, production operations field staff, third party vendors, compression teams, and any other resources as required of this role.  The duties include understanding and complying with local, state, and federal laws and regulatory requirements and identifying and implementing compliance program improvements. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Under limited supervision, responsible for field environmental and regulatory compliance, leading fugitive gas emissions inspections and leak repairs.
  • Work on assigned team, under the Manager, Field Environmental Compliance, capable of handling all STEM and LDAR leak identification, repair, and documentation requirements in company database.
  • Under limited supervision, perform leak inspections with IR camera, complete visual STI tank inspections, opacity inspections.
  • Under limited supervision, assist as needed in conducting repairs, and act as safety watch and verification for larger repairs.
  • Participate in regular Field Compliance team meetings, as well as periodic reviews/audits to assist in the improvement of efficiency, safety, and reporting from the Civitas Resources Field Compliance team.
  • Actively participate in Behavior Based Safety programs to stay up to date on current industry requirements.
  • Under moderate supervision, manage a specific set of required field compliance inspections in assigned field area to keep Civitas Resources in compliance with the CDPHE regulations.
  • Oversee AIRS ID labeling and regulatory signage posting programs, for assigned field sites.
  • Identify and recommend corrective actions for improving field compliance and assist Manager, Field Environmental Compliance in development of cost-effective repair solutions.
  • Assist with various non-company inspections on routine scheduled and unscheduled inspections with various third-party inspectors. 
  • Provide relief coverage occasionally for lead or manager, managing associated responsibilities.
  • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with Civitas Resources Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements.
  • All other duties and projects assigned.

 Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent additional technical certifications required. 
  • Minimum 3 years of oil and gas field experience with in-depth knowledge of operations, procedures, and safety required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Optical Gas Imaging infrared camera experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. 
  • Experience with data entry, demonstrating proficiency in accurately and efficiently entering large volumes of data preferred.

Travel & Additional Requirements:

  • Work Location: Work is performed at both field and office locations.
  • Schedule: Traditional 40-hour workweek or an alternative schedule of 9-hour workdays Monday through Thursday and 4-hour workdays on Friday, as business needs allow and with manager approval.
  • May be required to be on call at various times throughout the year.
  • Travel is required to the Civitas field locations and work sites with a company provided vehicle. 
  • Work may be performed in and around developed cities or undeveloped rural areas depending on the nature of the assignment.

Base Pay Range: $82,500 - $89,500
