As a Specialist, Electrician at JLL, you'll serve as a crucial technical expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems across commercial properties. This role places you at the heart of ensuring operational excellence and safety for our clients' facilities. You'll work independently and as part of a collaborative team to diagnose complex electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and execute repairs that keep critical building systems running smoothly. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to both routine maintenance needs and emergency situations. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become critical problems
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment such as multimeters, circuit testers, and thermal imaging cameras
Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure building occupant safety and comfort
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics to plan and execute installation and repair projects
Collaborate with facility management teams, engineers, and external contractors to coordinate electrical work and system upgrades
Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and JLL safety protocols on every job
High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program or technical training
Valid state electrician's license (Journeyman or Master Electrician certification as required by local jurisdiction)
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial electrical maintenance and repair
Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes and regulations
Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights on ladders and lifts, and access confined spaces as needed
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for travel between client sites
Master Electrician license or relevant advanced certifications
Experience working in commercial real estate, healthcare, or large-scale facility environments
Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), energy management systems, and LED lighting retrofits
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Maximo or similar platforms
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification demonstrating commitment to workplace safety
Experience with renewable energy systems, solar installations, or electric vehicle charging infrastructure
