Working as a member of the Supply Chain team, the Sourcing Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services required for the production of Barletta’s high-quality pontoon boats. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers while negotiating favorable terms to optimize the supply chain.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supplier Identification and Evaluation:
- Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers for various materials, components, and services required in pontoon boat manufacturing.
- Assess supplier capabilities, performance history, financial stability, and adherence to quality standards.
- Negotiation and Contract Management:
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to draft and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Cost Optimization:
- Work proactively to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality or delivery timelines.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness in the market.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Foster strong and collaborative relationships with key suppliers to enhance communication, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with production planning, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excesses.
- Market Research:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to make informed sourcing decisions.
- Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and technologies that align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as geopolitical, economic, or logistical challenges.
- Develop contingency plans to address disruptions and ensure continuity in the supply of critical materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the marine or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in cost analysis and market research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
