Job Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time / Hourly (Non-Exempt)
  • Pay Range: $19.50 per hour + $2.50 shift differential
  • Work Location: Onsite – Mundelein, IL 60060
  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

  • Start up, operate, and shut down sorting machines in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Observe machine operations to ensure the quality and efficiency of product sorting. Identify and troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions to maintain optimal performance.
  • Inspect sorted products to ensure they meet quality standards. Remove defective items and maintain consistent quality in sorted products.
  • After sorting process is complete, package product into packaging cartons.
  • Accurately record production data, including the quantity of sorted products, machine malfunctions, and downtime.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to read and interpret, blueprints, work instructions and technical specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on product quality.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Education: None
  • Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with industrial sorting machinery.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
