Sorter Operator (SRD) Parboil Mill

Regular work schedule is 3p -11p or 12 hour shifts 7p-7a 4-on/4-off including weekends, schedule could change depending on business demands.

Hours worked from 5pm to 6am M-F will receive a 15% shift premium.  All hours worked on Saturday and Sunday will receive a 15% shift premium.

Job Description 

Perform all required preventative maintenance. Perform repairs on the machinery in the shipping department. Monitor the machinery and dust systems.

Job Duties 

Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures. Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them, and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as required or approved by supervisor.

Operate and maintains color sorting equipment and bin gates, checks samples of rice, records all required information on documentation sheets and performs required sanitation and cleaning tasks.

Must be able to climb, work at heights, ride a "man-lift" and to follow both written and verbal instructions. 

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education Requirements

One year certificate from college or technical school; or High School Diploma or GED preferred.
