Job Title: Sorter / Laborer

Location: Lexington, KY 40511

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour on W2

Assignment Type: contract with possible extension or opportunity to convert to full-time employment

Duration: 12 months

Shift: First Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Work Schedule: Occasional Saturdays required

Required PPE: Steel-toe shoes required on Day 1

Job Summary

The Sorter / Laborer is responsible for sorting, inspecting, and organizing corrugated containers to ensure quality and proper orientation. This role involves removing excess material, restacking containers onto designated pallets, maintaining accurate production counts, and following safety procedures and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and inspect corrugated containers for quality and proper orientation.
• Remove trim, waste, and excess material from containers as needed.
• Restack containers neatly and securely onto designated pallets.
• Maintain accurate counts and production tallies throughout the shift.
• Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and supervisor directions.
• Comply with all safety policies and use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain an organized work area and support daily production activities.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Willingness to work occasional Saturdays.
• Must have steel-toe shoes available for the first day of work.
